Project 2: Mission Accomplished!

Another completion and many more to go. Today will be the last day staying at this wonderful hotel. I’m going to miss the staffs (funny & friendly) and the food (5 stars quality) here. Apparently, there were many celebrities stayed here before. From Justin Timberlake, Dolly Parker, Mel C, Gabrielle, to Bill Clinton. Although I didn’t spotted any while I was here. But there must be reason why these people choose to stay here.

Belfast is an up-coming hips city which is currently under a massive transformation. In another 10 years time, she will be one of the cities that you wanna visit in Great Britain.

Next stop, Hilton Templepatrick Hotel & Country Club, which is 10 miles away from Hilton Belfast. It is a golf resort. Too bad I don’t play golf and I can’t never understand the fun of hitting a ball and you have to go and find it? I just hope that they have a well equipped gym facilities awaiting for me there.

Here are some pictures I took last weekend.

New Skill?

I needed a hair cut. When you have the privilege of having a hair stylist sister, you can cut your hair as many times as you want for free. It has been 5 weeks since my last hair cut (usually I had it cut every 2 weeks). So I needed a hair cut but I'm not willing to spend a fortunate at a local Hair Salon and not really a barber cut person.

So I decided to unleash one of my hidden skills. After I bought my "Prada" shoes, I bought a Ceramic Clipper as well, which I always wanted to have one and once again, it is so much cheaper here. I went back to my hotel room and give myself a hair cut. As a result, nobody believes I did it myself. I guess it is not too bad for the first time ya..(and it requires high skill to cut your own hair, ok!).

Over-Over-Over Weight

Ok...I got another pair of shoes. But it wasn't my intention at all. All I did was minding my own business, walking down the street and browsing through some window displays. There were a couple of interesting stuffs but controlling myself not to buy any. But then, something caught my eyes! Look at this!

Original price is Euro 62 and guess how much I got it for?
5 Pounds!!!! Com'On! How could you resist that?!

Over-Over Weight!

I’m so over-over weight. That’s why I hate flying (I did mentioned it before right?). It’s hard to travel with minimal of your daily stuff on a long trip. However, I gotta admitted that, half of the stuffs I brought I dun really need it. And it will be harder for me to do any shopping because I couldn’t put in any more weight into my luggage. And the worst part it?? It’s freaking Sales Season here and everything is so cheap (even cheaper than Singapore Sale!)

Last Saturday, I needed a new pair of business shoes because my old one has torn apart. So I went shopping. Instead of buying one pair of shoe, I bought 4! I know, I know…..but it’s hard to resist because these shoes are so cheap after sale!!

So I bought a black leather shoes, a white leather shoes, a grey casual shoes and a brown boot. Total only cost me 74 pounds (approx. SGD 230). Isn’t it worth it? I mean, I have been looking for a boot for a longest time and usually they are very expensive in Asia. And you know what the best part is? They are not made in China! How could you resist that?!

Missing

I'm missing Singapore.
Missing home...
Missing my family...
Missing my friends...
Missing the local food...
Missing working out in Cali...
Missing catching up all the latest movies...
Missing complaining about everything that has nothing to complain about...
Missing queuing up for everything...
Missing the over-crowded weekend in Orchard Road which I hate...
Missing bitching about the same old crowds in the club every weekend...
Missing everything that I thought I won't be missing for...
Missing by Everything But The Girl just came into my mind and I'm going to upload it into my music blog...

Belfast – Titanic Was Built In This City!

“My Heart Will Go Oooooooon…..”

Oh Yes! The almighty of Titanic was built in this city! How exciting is that?!

I arrived on last Friday evening. As usual, I was overweight again and had to pay 84 pounds at the airport…. sigh. I hope I can get it reimbursed back from my company. It was a budget airline and the flight was ok as it was only 1 ½ hours from Bristol.

I’m happy with this hotel because 1) it’s located in the city 2) the restaurant food is good 3) the water pressure is good.

On Saturday, I met up with my new American team mate and we had Chinese food for lunch and basically just drinking beers at the hotel bar in the evening (most evenings). I think I’m either going to be an alcoholic or overweight soon. Because besides eating, it’s drinking. That’s pretty much what we do….

On Sunday, I went to see back to back movies – Harry Potter & The Simpsons. Harry Potter was slow but The Simpsons was hilarious!

Well, the gym here is slightly bigger than the previous one but it is still not very well equipped. I couldn’t do much as well.

So, what is the best way to see the city? Jogging in the city! So that’s what I did for the past 2 days. I jogged in the city. It was quite interesting to see the city in this way 1) it’s the quickest way 2) it saves u money, cox you couldn’t stop for shopping 3) sightseeing while burning off your calories! One stone kills many birds!
